Online therapy

  • Therapy specific platform

I use Cliniko for our sessions. Unlike Zoom etc. it's designed specifically for online therapy, ensuring your privacy.

  • Easy to join sessions - no login required

Cliniko is exceptionally user-friendly - you'll receive an email before each session with a 'join' link to start the video call directly in your web browser.

This means no logins, no forgotten passwords, and no time-consuming software updates.

  • Professional video and sound

For the best online experience, I use professional video and audio equipment.

Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy, so the choice between in person and online therapy depends on your personal preferences and what fits your lifestyle.

Enjoy the freedom and flexibility of meeting online, ideal if you live far from my office or prefer the comfort of your own space.

I enjoy both in person and online work and I continue to work from my office once a week. Working from home for the rest of my week fits my lifestyle better since I moved to the countryside in 2022.

I work online on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

You deserve to love and trust yourself.

As human beings we have natural and healthy needs. We need to feel seen, understood, valued and included.

Sadly, in our increasingly stressed, distracted and disconnected society, these natural needs often don't get met sufficiently well. If these needs are not met to the degree we need them to be as children, often despite the very best intentions of our parents or caregivers, it can lead to a whole range of tremendous and painful challenges.

These can include feeling empty, feeling cut off from your feelings, having a powerful inner critic, not knowing what you feel, want and need, having low self-esteem, lacking confidence, and not setting healthy boundaries.

My approach honours your natural and healthy needs - to feel seen, understood, valued and included.

I will support you to become more present, self-compassionate and empowered in your life. I offer a process that invites you to reconnect with your body and emotions, uncover conditioned beliefs and patterns that have held you back, and develop a bone-deep trust and confidence in yourself.

How I work

My integrative approach is exploratory, affirming and non-directive.

I believe you will experience the most sustainable and lasting growth and healing by working at your own pace. So, I meet you where you are. I do not set the agenda in sessions. I trust and respect your autonomy and personal power - we will look at what you feel is most important/present for you.

I will ask you what you would like to focus on at the beginning of each session, and I trust that within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, you can gain insights, find your own solutions, and experience healing.

You’re the one walking in your shoes, living your life - only you can truly know what’s right for you, or what the right next step is. While I have expertise in therapy and can therefore offer high-quality support, you are the expert in your lived experience and the relationship you have with yourself.

If you are looking for a therapist to solve problems for you or tell you what to do, I won’t be a good fit for you. My strength lies in being there with you and helping you listen more deeply to yourself, and seeing what is right for you.

Introducing Skye

I work from home on the days I see people online (Monday, Tuesday and Friday). So, you might sometimes hear or see my rescue cat, Skye, during our online sessions.

Skye usually curls up to sleep while I’m working but she occasionally likes to make a brief appearance on screen.

In the photo, she’s curled up on my home office chair. She often likes to sleep there when I’m not working.

“Every story matters...

We are all worthy of telling our stories and having them heard.

We all need to be seen and honoured in the same way that we all need to breathe.”
